1. Bihar Assembly Election 2020: Key Candidates & Constituencies
On October 28.10.2020, The 1st phase of polling for the General Election - Legislative Assembly of Bihar 2020 took place. The second and third phases of polling will take place on 3 November and 7 November, respectively.

2. VVPAT & It's work
The Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail - VVPAT is an independent printer system attached with Electronic Voting Machine - EVM that allows the voters to verify that their votes are cast as intended.
It is meant to provide a feedback to voters using a ballot less voting system by generating a paper slip every time a voter casts his vote. It records the party to whom the vote was made.The VVPAT slip is kept in a sealed cover. VVPAT slip counting takes place in the VVPAT counting booths under the close monitoring of the returning officer and direct oversight of the observer.

3. Anti-human trafficking Police Stations : UP Govt
The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to establish anti-human trafficking Police Stations every district of the state to increase the security of women and children around the state. These Police Stations will be given enough powers to register the case and investigate the matter independently.

4. Naresh Kanodia passes away
Naresh Kanodia was an Indian Gujarati film actor and musician from Gujarat who later joined Politics has passed away on 28.10.2020.
He was the younger brother of Gujarati singer Mahesh Kanodia who died on 25 October 2020 in Gandhinagar after a prolonged illness.
Film Career: He has worked in the film industry for - four decades. His first ever film was Veli ne avya phool. & Some of his famous movies are Jog Sanjog, Kanku Ni Kimat, Laju Lakhan, Uchi Medi na Ucha Mol, Raj Rajvan, Man saiba ni Medie & many more

5. Aditya Puri retires
Aditya Puri, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Bank at the age of 70yrs have retired on Oct 28.2020. He has a remarkable & successful work profile with an experience of 25 years at India’s largest private sector lender.
Sashidhar Jagdishan is appointed as the new chief executive and managing director of the HDFC Bank.

6. Arjun Munda launched two Centers of Excellence for tribal welfare
On October 28.2020 via a video confrence, The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda has launched two Centers of Excellence - CoE for Tribal Welfare.
The CoE are in a collaboration between Ministry of Tribal Affairs MoTA and Art of Living - AoL through video conference.

7. Uttrakhand CM shifts to SC after HC orders CBI probe against him
On October 28.10.2020, The Cheif Minister of Uttrakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has shifted to Supreme Court after the orders of High Court, Uttrakhand a CBI probe into corruption allegations against him.
What are the Accusations?
Reportedly, CM Rawat if accused of allegedly transferring money into relatives' accounts to support an appoitment of someone in Jharkhand's Gau Seva Ayog when he was the state's BJP in-charge in 2016.

8. PMC collects ₹85.83cr from tax defaulters
Pune Government on 2 October 2020, had launched an Amnesty Scheme that waves off 80% of the Plenalty amount of the Tax Defaulers. According to the Pune Municipal Corporation - PMC 36,443 tax defaulters have paid ₹85.83crore in taxes under this Scheme as on 28.10.2020.
The Scheme is valid till November 30.2020.

9. Delhi CM will launch 'Green Delhi' on October 29
The Cheif Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal will launch 'Green Delhi' App on October 29.2020 in order to check city's air pollution.
The main aim of the application is to provide a platform to the residents of Delhi via which they can notify the Government with a photo or video complaint about the violation of pollution norms.

10. RTI questions the Govt about the creation of Aarogya Setu app
The Central Information Commission - CIC, set up under the RTI Act, has issued a show-cause notice to government depatments's COVID-19 contact tracing app 'Aarogya Setu'. The notice came after various ministries failed to provide information about the creation of the app.
