1. 3 Accidents in Atal Tunnel in 72 Hours since Inauguration
Three Accidents were reported in Atal Rohtang Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh within 72 hours of its inauguration. "Accidents were recorded by CCTV cameras installed inside the tunnel. Showing that there were no traffic rules that were followed by tourists and motorists in-fact, people visiting were captured while clicking selfies while riding"
What is Atal Tunnel & When was it inaugurated?
Atal Tunnel (also known as Rohtang Tunnel) is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh.
It was inaugurated by the PM, Narendra Modi on 3rd October 2020.
It is the World's longest highway Tunnel as long as 9.02Km
2. No Festives in Containment Zones in 2020
The Centre on, 6.10.2020 issued guidelines on preventive measures to contain COVID-19 spread during festivals, stating, "Festive events shall be permitted only outside the containment zones."
It futher said that the events that plan to last for many days should ensure a cap on physical numbers. It also sought stationing volunteers to ensure thermal scanning, physical distancing and wearing masks.
People who are above 65 years advised to stay at home.
3. Be firm on rejecting GST borrowing: Chidambaram to States
P. Chidambaram, Congress leader said on Tuesday, 06.10.2020 "I compliment the 9-10 states that stood firm and rejected the two options given by the central government to bridge the gap in the GST compensation cess." He asked them to 'stand firm' at the GST council meeting on October 12.
"It is unfair..to ask state governments to borrow the money," he said.

4. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority to invest ₹5,512crore in Reliance
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority -ADIA, will invest ₹5,512.50 crore in Reliance Industries' retail arm, Reliance Retail Ventures Limited - RRVL.
ADIA's investment will translate into a 1.20% equity stake in Reliance Retail ona fully diluted basis. This investment values RRVL at a pre-money equity value of ₹4,285 lakh crore, RIL said in a statement.
5. JD(U) alloted 122 setas, BJP121 in seat- sharing deal for Bihar polls
JD(U) and BJP have split the 243 seats for the Bihar Assembly Elections with BJP getting to field candidates on 121 setas while JD(U) is getting 122 seats, CM Nitish Kumar announced on Tuesday. Of the JD(U)'s share, seven setas will go to Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM. Meanwhile, BJP will give some seats to Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).
While RJD, Congress, Left parties has formed alliance.
6. Rahul allowed to enter Haryana after staging dharna at state border
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is protesting against the farm laws, has been allowed to enter Haryana. Gandhi was given permission to enter the state on the condition that not more than 100 people can gather at a time. Ambala IGP Y Puran Kumar said, "The permission for entry of Rahul Gandhi is conditional. Covid restrictions have to be followed"

7. Govt announces results of 1st National Startup Awards
Commerce Minster Piyush Goyal has announced the results of the first National Startup Awards. The government has awarded multiple startups across 12major sectors, including space, agriculture, finance and energy, which were divided into 35 sub-categories. BharatPe emerged as a winner in the 'Fintech' category. Azooka Labs was declared the winner in the 'Women-led' startups special category.
Winning startups' founders to get ₹5 lakh each.
8. COVID-19 vaccine may be ready by year-end: WHO
A Vaccine against COVID-19 may be read by year-end, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Gheberyesys said while addressing closing remarks to the WHO's Executive Board on the pandemic. "Especially for the vaccines and other products which are in the pipeline, the most imporant tool is political commitment form our leaders especially in the equitable distribution of the vaccines," he added

9. 2 Mumbai Civic body officials arrested for taking bribe of ₹20,000
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested two employess of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 from a resident of Dharavi, an official said. The two officials had demanded ₹25,000 from the complainant. They claimed that the complainant hadn't taken BMC 's permission for renovating his house and they would have to take action against him.

10. NCERT textbooks to be made available in Indian Sign language: Govt
Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) and NCERT will sign MoU on Wednesday, 7.10.2020 for converting educational materials into Indian sign languge for the benefit of deaf students, Central Government said on Tuesday. NCERT textbooks of all subjects for classes 1 to 12 in both Hindi and English medium will be converted into sign language in a digital format.
